Beth’s Story

Beth Scott was a student at Gardyne college studying HNC psychology and sociology before attended Abertay university, Dundee. She received and honours degree in physical activity and health in 2018 completing modules in sport psychology and lifestyle management.

Between studying and working two part-time jobs, Beth spent her spare at the gym where she developed a great deal of knowledge and experience in many different methods of training. This pushed her to start a career doing what she loved and she later qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer.

Using her own weight loss journey as a driving force, the now recognisable brand of Body By Beth was created in 2017 to help inspire other women to improve their lifestyle and make healthier choices. From 1-2-1 personal training, to tailored meal plans or the members area, Beth has worked with thousands of women all over Scotland and even internationally.

Competition Journey

Beth started out in 2016 as a junior competitor to tick a bodybuilding show off her ‘bucket list’. Placing 2nd in her first ever show and then winning the Scottish Championships the following year gave her the bug to carry on… Always striving to push herself, she picked bigger shows such as the 2018 PCA London qualifier and then went on to have Top 2 British success the same year.

After 7 traditional ‘body building’ shows, Beth wanted to push the envelope again and tried her hand at the WBFF Fitness and Fashion federation. In late 2018, she entered the European Amateur show in London O2 where she won 1st place and was awarded her Pro Status.

After the high of becoming a professional athlete after years of hard work, Beth jumped into her first Pro Show only 4 months later in Los Angeles California, April 2019. Beth shared the stage with over 45 seasoned competitors, and this was the first show where she left without any placing. This disappointment pushed Beth to come back stronger and train harder. She then prepared to compete in the European Professional Show, Nov 2019 despite being advised to take time off. It was here she was awarded 1st place and became the first Scottish woman to have ever won a Pro Show with the WBFF.

Beth is currently training towards WBFF Worlds in Las Vegas, August 2021, and is aiming for a Top 10 placing.
